About Weld Works Hub

A focused welding job cost calculator and quote builder designed around practical workshop estimating.

Why Weld Works Hub exists

Welding jobs are often priced from experience, a rough material total, or a single hourly rate. That can work for familiar work, but it becomes risky when a job includes material waste, fitting time, grinding, travel, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, or uncertain site conditions.

Weld Works Hub was created to make that reasoning visible. It gives welders, fabricators, workshop owners, technicians, and engineers one place to build a job estimate, review the break-even price, set a target return, and produce a customer-ready quotation.

Product principles

Practical first

The workflow follows the way a real fabrication job is estimated: scope, materials, labor, additional costs, risk, price, and final documents.

Private by default

Current estimate and business-profile data is stored locally in the browser. No account is required for the present version.

Clear separation

The internal cost sheet contains confidential costing and profit information. The customer quote does not expose internal rates or margin.

What the tool is not

Weld Works Hub is not accounting software, an inventory system, a welding procedure generator, an engineering certification service, or a substitute for qualified technical and legal review. It does not determine whether a weld, material, design, or procedure is safe or code-compliant.

The user remains responsible.Verify measurements, quantities, labor assumptions, material specifications, taxes, commercial terms, welding procedures, safety controls, and applicable codes before relying on an estimate or quotation.

Current scope

The current release focuses on the estimating workflow: project details, scope, materials, labor, consumables, equipment, transport, subcontractors, overhead, contingency, profit, actual results, and two separate print-ready documents.
